Third Line Support Engineer – Wigan
NRL is looking for a Third Line Support Engineer (based out of any of our UK offices on a hybrid working basis) to maintain our infrastructure and ensure our IT services are secure and effective. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with our IT Systems Manager and other Group Support teams to deliver seamless systems and solutions. Technical Experience:
Extensive experience with MS services, including Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
At least 2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender Suite, and troubleshooting network issues.
Desirable experience with Teams Phone, relational databases, DevOps, Linux, Docker/Kubernetes.
Professional certifications in Microsoft Azure and/or Office 365 are highly desirable.
Ability to work onsite with occasional travel to NRL’s office locations.

Implement and maintain virtual and physical infrastructure.
Monitor, report, and manage capacity, reacting to notifications as needed.
Identify and resolve underlying issues promptly.
Manage business continuity services, including backup and disaster recovery.
Perform routine maintenance, patching, and system configuration.
Manage mobile devices and connections.
Update technical documentation of systems.
Serve as the escalation point for break-fix/BAU requests via the IT Helpdesk.
Provide cover for 1st Line Helpdesk during absence.
