We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in our award-winning business in Auchincruive, Ayr. This is a full-time, office-based role.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, the successful candidate will assist with all aspects of Sales Ledger, Credit Control, and Cashbook management.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with credit control activities, including contacting customers, reviewing credit limits, maintaining new customer forms, reviewing aged debtor lists, liaising with overseas customer service staff for overdue invoices, producing monthly statements, and updating hold lists.
* Set up new customer accounts and allocate credit limits.
* Update sales ledger accounts with accurate details.
* Resolve disputed invoices promptly.
* Post cashbook transactions.
* Deposit cheques weekly and encourage customers to pay via BACS.
* Answer incoming calls and redirect as necessary.
* Assist visitors to the business.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
* Knowledge of SAGE and SAP systems is advantageous; training will be provided.
