Fixed-term Contract Our 2025 Summer School will operate from 6th July to 3rd August Felsted is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex. Founded in 1564 by Richard Lord Riche, who had been a Lord Chancellor under King Edward VI. We celebrated our 450th anniversary in 2014, one of only a handful of Schools in the country that have claimed this historic milestone. We employ more than 160 teachers and 440 operational staff in a community orientated environment, ensuring our pupils receive the very best in learning and co-curricular activities. Felsted today provides an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 students aged four to eighteen. We are excited to be running our eleventh on-site Summer School in 2025. Operating during the School Summer Holidays for four weeks, the programme offers students a wide range of academic, sporting and cultural opportunities for c500 students aged 8-17 from every corner of the world. To run our successful and well-established programme, we need creative, enthusiastic and well qualified staff to work with us. For our 2025 programme we require a suitably qualified Environment and Sustainability Teacher to work with our junior students. The role involves the planning and delivery of an Environment and Sustainability Academy to the junior campus International Summer School students, aged between 8 and 11. The course aims to help each student achieve their individual best to gain specific subject knowledge whilst encouraging full student participation and learner independence. This is a part time, fixed-term role between 7th July and 1st August 2025 with inductions being held from 3rd to 5th July. The teaching hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. We will be recruiting for this role on an ongoing basis.
