Job Description
4. The candidate will have a good understanding of the Jack Wills brand and position in the market.
5. A strong knowledge of fabrics and design capabilities across supply chains.
6. Ability to design for multiple product categories such as wovens, jersey, knitwear & denim.
7. Design and develop ranges, with a focus on brand elevation and attention to detail.
8. The candidate will be able to confidently present research & ranges to the wider team and management in a clear & engaging manner.
9. Communicate with suppliers and oversee the development process. Ensuring ranges are produced to the highest standard. This includes reviewing CPs & managing timelines.
10. The candidate will be able to work across multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. This candidate will work well within an established design and buying team, whilst contributing new and fresh ideas.
Qualifications
12. 3+ years experience working within a design role
13. Bachelors degree in Fashion design or similar
14. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.)
15. Ability to design both trend led, commercial & conceptual ranges
16. Ability to create clear & detailed tech packs
17. Experience communicating with factories and managing ranges from initial design through to production. Ensuring these are executed to the highest standard and in a timely manner.
18. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
19. Excellent presentation skills. Able to communicate ideas in a clear and enthusiastic way
20. Experience with knitwear design
21. Dynamic & adaptable
22. Ability to take direction and work independently.
23. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
24. A positive approach to tasks and new challenges
25. Be a key member of the design team, sharing knowledge and skills with the wider team
