Role Overview: As a Newly Qualified Teacher at Stepping Stones, you will be immersed in a supportive environment, allowing you opportunities to shadow experienced instructors and gain hands-on experience and build your confidence as a swimming instructor. You will play a crucial role in the delivery and progression of swimmers within our swim programme, catering to children typically aged between 3yrs – 11yrs. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation in swim instruction while making a positive impact on children's learning and development. Qualifications: National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential) SSTQ | UKCC | STA | ASA Passion for learning and professional development Desirable NRASTC or NPLQ qualification but not essential Main Duties: Participate in a comprehensive mentoring and shadowing program to build teaching skills and confidence Assist in the safe delivery of swimming lessons following the Stepping Stones weekly framework Support the progression and development of each swimmer through the Stepping Stones framework Engage with the assessment of swimmers for the awards program twice per year Provide feedback to the Stepping Stones office as required Personal Qualities: We seek individuals who are fun, friendly, and passionate about making a difference in children's lives.
