Job Description
Due to the continuing success and growth of our UK team, this fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning specialist consultancy, engineering and advisory firm. At AESG we are looking for a Technical Director to support our Fire and Life Safety team and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. This role requires you to be a Chartered Fire Engineer and will be able to provide support / conduct PAS 9980 risk-based assessments and EWS1 to our clients in addition to traditional FLS design and engineering services.
AESG has developed an industry-leading software assessment tool using the PAS risk assessment methodology and our market reach is growing. We seek a motivated leader to guide the development of this tool into a probabilistic risk assessment platform with a wider aim to support industry standardisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated chartered engineer seeking a leadership role within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include:
* Assist with leading the Fire & Life Safety team and working closely with clients to ensure an exemplary level of quality
* Continuing the growth and development of our Fire & Life Safety offering to the UK and internationally
* Working with our multidiscipline team to ensure coordinated outputs
* Execution of Strategy, Business Development and Commercial Management

Must have/be:
* Chartered Fire Engineer
* AS 9980 risk-based assessments and EWS1 experience
* Excellent technical knowledge in Fire Safety/Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors. Public Sector experience would also be a big advantage.
* A thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process
* A good appreciation of the importance of complementary specialisms such computer modelling (CFD), Structural Engineering and Building Services in the design of buildings
* Ability to deliver & control project delivery, within time and budget
* UK experience with international experience preferred
