Do you want to join our “driven high-performing” team where “every day is a different and exciting challenge”?
The Ralph is the UK’s largest independent (non-corporate, non-university) multidisciplinary specialist referral centre in southeast England (Marlow, Buckinghamshire, near London). #TeamRalph comprises ~250 talented and compassionate Ralphers who work together to deliver exceptional care and support to our patients and their families. Our caseload is plentiful and varied.
The Ralph has recently turned six! Now we are no longer a startup, a key objective for this year is to reflect on the ways in which we do things operationally and how our teams are structured. Our Theatre/Anaesthesia nursing team is one area of focus.
Available Opportunities
Our Theatre/Anaesthesia nursing team has full-time or part-time nurse and nurse internship opportunities. We are keen to hear from nurses interested in theatre and/or anaesthesia work, whatever your previous experience.
– You may be a nurse with prior related referral experience.
– You may be a seasoned, experienced primary care nurse looking to get into referral nursing.
– You may be someone looking for a more senior position or a recently qualified nurse interested in a Service-Specific Nurse Internship in Theatre/Anaesthesia.
Whatever your story, feel free to reach out!
Most of this team split their time between Theatre-related activities and general anaesthesia of all our patients, surgical and non-surgical – the “balance of two”. However, some prefer to focus solely on anaesthesia or surgery-related work. We are open to your preferences.
We are also enthusiastic about hearing from nurses with prior experience and a passion for theatre workflow coordination.
Our Theatre & Anaesthesia-Specific Nurse Internship lasts for six months:
– You will receive full training, support and mentorship.
– By the end of your internship, you will have the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform referral-level nursing.
– We guarantee you a permanent position in the Theatre/Anaesthesia nurse team at the end of the six months. This guarantee is subject to satisfactory performance.
“Supportive, caring…great banter”!
The Ralph has Board-certified veterinary surgeons in all our disciplines, including Anaesthesia & Analgesia, Cardiology, Dentistry, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue Surgery. Our well-established ICU, with its specialist ECC team, provides a diverse and interesting caseload.
We highly support professional development and growth at The Ralph. We encourage active participation in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge. Our hospital-wide Nurses Journal Club launches in April!
“Always someone on hand to help you.”
