Yard/Depot Operative
Location: Wiltshire
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 am to 4:00 pm
Salary: £12.50 per hour
About the Role
Join us as a Yard Person and play a key role in ensuring our yard operates smoothly and efficiently. This dynamic position involves controlling yard access, keeping the site tidy with tasks like litter picking, weeding, and sweeping, and assisting with vehicle movements. You'll enjoy a variety of tasks and work in a supportive environment, where your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be valued. You'll be part of a team that thrives on clear communication, and your ability to work flexibly in all weather will ensure the yard runs at its best every day.
Requirements
Mandatory:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending
* A commitment to following safety protocols
* Full driving license
Ideal:
* Previous experience in a similar yard or grounds maintenance role
* Basic First Aid qualification (training can be provided)
* Banksman certificate (training can be provided)
