We're looking for a proactive, adaptable individual to lead the site Hygiene Team, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene activity of all production areas. Position: Full Time, Permanent. Salary: £27,664 per annum Working Pattern: Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 21:00, including a one hour lunch break. Location: Trafford Park, Manchester (Onsite) What you will be doing: Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards are implemented, maintained, and improved. Coordinate all hygiene cleaning aspects across the site, communicate work instructions clearly and motivate the Hygiene Team. Responsible for the hygiene standards across the site with the ability to inspect and promote good hygiene standards. Manage the cleaning schedules and promote Good Manufacturing Practice across all departments. Adherence to Health & Safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment for the employees in the department. Planning, organising, and monitoring the hygiene team in order to achieve or exceed the expected cleaning levels To be aware of all food industry cleaning chemicals, their use, mixing strengths and necessary precautions To be able to participate and support hygiene related risk assessments. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with regards to company hygiene standards within the hygiene team to ensure optimum performance is achieved. Ensuring COSHH awareness, managing chemical handling requirements and control of PPE Support any investigative measures and the requirement for any additional deep cleaning of equipment or fabrication Who are we looking for: Previous experience of working within a FMCG food manufacturing environment Knowledge of hygiene from either a production operations or hygiene background Excellent supervisory skills with proven ability to lead team members Experience in customer audits and visits in relation to hygiene requirements Excellent communication skills and a high standard of organisational skills Food Safety / Hygiene qualification Foundation level health and safety qualification A flexible and adaptable approach to changing client requirements What We Offer: Career Development: We provide opportunities for growth and learning.
