AWE is currently recruiting for an Operations Window Manager to plan, manage, coordinate and prioritise all Technology Centre scope and resources, within an agreed work window, to ensure the continuous safe, effective fulfilment of the Technology Centre tactical delivery schedule.
Location – Reading/Basingstoke area
Package – £59,440-£93,960 dependent upon suitability & level of experience.

Key Accountabilities:
* Accountable for capturing and planning Tech Centre scope within designated work window.
* Accountable for ensuring Technology Centre operations are planned, controlled, and adequate resources allocated within the agreed work week window, aligned to the Technology Centre Integrated Operations Schedule (IOS).
* Accountable for delivery readiness process and refining the work window schedule from planning to execution.
* Accountable for short term tactical planning and responsible for delivery of all Technology Centre scope during the execution week.
* Accountable for the delivery of appropriate Learning from Experience (LFE) activities following the execution window and feeding that information back into the planning system.
* Accountable for reporting variances of schedule adherence, the causes (direct and indirect) and the planned actions to mitigate repeat occurrences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for daily resource allocation across the Technology centre, within the agreed work window, to ensure adequate competence and programme delivery.
* Provide constant monitoring of progress and feedback to the planning team to ensure accurate and realistic delivery forecasts.
* Provide direction to ensure that agreed reporting and KPIs are captured, and issues/successes are escalated through the appropriate board tiers.
* Responsible for control of re-planning and reprioritisation of work following operational interruptions within the agreed work window.
* Responsible for assessing and controlling emergent work and managing the change through the work control and authorisation process within the agreed work window.
* Responsible for responding to requests from the PTC Facility Response Team (FRT) to ensure the delivery of prioritised emergent work as instructed by the Technology Centre or wider business.
* Lead planning and management meetings in line with the Technology Centre battle rhythm and reporting structure.
* Co-ordination of operational activities across diverse and multidisciplinary teams to deliver the Tech Centre scope within the designated work window.
* Promote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous improvement.
* Build relationships and be able to work flexibly with a range of stakeholders across the Tech Centre.
* Responsible for undertaking other duties as reasonably required from time to time by line and task management, including work at other places within the UK or overseas; this will be done in consultation with you, and in accordance with any requirements.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following skills/experience:
* Evidence of proven delivery in a manufacturing, maintenance, or project delivery environment
* Tactical and strategic planning
* Resource management and loading
* Competence in the use of IT based tools for planning, reporting and presenting information.
* Strong management skills, through robust engagement with people, connecting with empathy, and excellent communication.
* Strength in motivating others.
* Able to demonstrate tenacity and resilience professionally when working in a pressurised and fast paced changing environment and be able to manage your own workload.
* Able to show initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Proven track record of driving delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.
* Communication across a diverse area of stakeholders and customers and able to influence to meet objectives and goals.
* Basic understanding and Leadership experience in a nuclear environment
* Willing to work in a high hazard area
In addition, it would be beneficial to have the following skills/experience:
* Level 4 qualification in leadership or project management
* Managing complex changes in an operational environment
* Presenting complex management information to senior stakeholders
* Managing and motivating a high performing team.
* Management of complex cross functional teams in a delivery environment
* Experience of using IT based planning tools such as Primavera P6
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for this role. Candidates require 10 years continuous residency in the UK and must hold UK citizenship.
