An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Staffordshire Borough Council. The Council are seeking to recruit a Horticulture & Volunteering Supervisor to lead the Council’s Horticulture Team. The role will be at the forefront of the Council’s floral displays, tree planting and volunteer co-ordination and contribute towards the Council’s Climate change and nature strategy. Qualified to degree level, the suitable candidate will have extension experience of managing horticulture in either a public or private organisation. Experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous as the position is pivotal to the Council’s objectives around health and horticulture and will play a key role in the ongoing development of the GO Garden project, Horticulture Centre and the awarding winning Potting Shed partnership with Fountains School. The ability to be innovative, creative and think “outside of the box” are crucial for maintaining East Staffordshire’s success at the regional and national In Bloom awards.
