We are looking for a newly qualified GP, within 2 years of certificate of completion oftraining at the start of employment, who is looking for an exciting opportunityto join a friendly GP practice with a reputation for being forward-thinking andhighly supportive with a CQC status of outstanding.
Weare a practice team recognised for our great team morale and high QOFachievement situated in a semi-rural location in Calverton, Nottingham. Ourpatient demographic is mixed allowing for the successful candidate to utilisecurrent skills and develop their potential.
Thisis an ARRS role and a contract is being offered until the end of March 2025.

Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practicepopulation, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complyingwith the contract.
Furthermore, the postholder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributingto the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
About us
The Calverton Practice is a long-established dispensing GPPractice covering Calverton and the surrounding villages with a list size ofapproximately 10,000. We have a team of 6 GP partners, 3 salaries GPs and as atraining practice host both GP registrars and medical students. Our nursingteam currently consists of 4 nurses, a paramedic and 3 HCAs who are supportedby staff from across our local PCN including pharmacists, physiotherapists, andmental health OTs. We also have a large, supportive administration/managerialteam. As well as working in a great team, a recent extension and refurbishmentprogramme provides an excellent environment in which to work.

Job responsibilities
The followingare the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors suchas workload and staffing levels:
1. The deliveryof highly effective medical care to the entitled population
2. The provisionof services commensurate with the primary care contract
3. Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
4. Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
5. Processing ofadministration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
6. On arotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
7. Home Visits
8. Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
9. Workcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
10. Adhere to bestpractice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
11. Contribute tothe successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiativeswithin the practice
12. Attend andcontribute effectively to practice meetings as required
13. Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinicalgovernance and training
14. Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process
15. Prepare andcomplete the revalidation process
16. Commit toself-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development acrossthe practice team
17. Support thetraining of medical students from all clinical disciplines
18. Support thepartners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, makingrecommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
19. Review andalways adhere to practice protocols and policies
20. Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting aculture of continuous improvement.
