About Paragon Social Care
At Paragon Social Care, we support vulnerable and challenging children and young people who are looked after by the council and are between longer-term placements. We step in during these critical times of transition and supply wrap-around, 24/7 packages of support. These support packages include a staffing ratio of 1:1 up to a maximum of 6:1 depending on the individual needs of each young person.
Our support packages can be based anywhere in the UK. Staff must be flexible with travel; therefore, this role suits those who don't have large commitments at home and can fit this around their current lifestyle with flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
* Keeping the young person safe
* Engaging with the young person on an emotional level
* Ensuring the young person attends to their personal care
* Taking the young person out on activities and fun days out
* Transporting the young person to meetings, school, and appointments
* Cooking for the young person
* Keeping the home clean and tidy
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking Crisis Support Workers who ideally have previous experience working with challenging children and young people, but this is not essential! All relevant training will be provided free of charge. If you lack previous experience but possess the qualities we seek, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements
* Flexibility in your working life
* A driving license with your own vehicle and willingness to obtain Motor Vehicle Business Insurance
* A clear DBS check
* Full Right To Work status in the UK
At Paragon Social Care, Safeguarding Children is our top priority. We aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where each child can flourish. Our support is underpinned by the Trauma-Informed and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks.
