Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading international manufacturing organisation based near Barnsley.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer package starts with a basic salary of £45,900 which is due to rise in April, and includes an operations incentive bonus and premium overtime opportunities and a generous holiday allowance, plus 3 additional shutdown days.
What's on offer as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
Basic salary: £45,900 per annum (due to rise in April), plus bonus, overtime at a premium (x1.5 and x2)
Shift: Panama pattern of 12-hour shifts working a combination of days 6am - 6pm and nights 6pm - 6am, with a weekly average of 42 hours.
Holidays: 25 days holidays, plus bank holidays in lieu and 3 days shutdown.
Pension: 5% Employer and Minimum of 3% Employee.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
1. Carry out diagnostic work on a range of mechanical and electrical equipment and processing lines.
2. Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of complex machinery & ancillaries.
3. Supporting electrically skilled personnel with fault finding and repair on 3 phase electrical systems & operations, PLC's, control systems.
4. Carry out Planned Maintenance (PPM) tasks to a high standard.
5. Initiating improvement in practices, systems & procedures.
6. Ensuring that Engineering records are accurately maintained & presented in a timely manner.
7. Comply with all HSE policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications & Experience of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
1. Mechanical qualifications.
2. Time served engineering apprenticeship.
3. Troubleshoot & repair equipment & systems which include Electrical, mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic & PLC.
4. 3+ years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
5. Be able to carry out PPM on machinery.
6. Installation & commissioning of industrial machinery.
