Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to support capacity planning activities within the team, employing an analytically driven process to ensure the strategic supply of vehicles aligns with customer demand, optimising revenue, asset utilisation, and cost-effectiveness.
As a Capacity Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in maximising revenue and utilisation by actively forecasting, planning, and delivering the fleet required to service demand. This position requires strong commercial awareness and advanced analytical skills to drive data-led decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct in-depth analysis and forecasting to support fleet capacity planning.
2. Summarise complex data in a clear and concise manner using various mediums, including reports, dashboards, and presentations.
3. Utilise Business Intelligence (BI) tools to extract, visualise, and interpret data effectively.
4. Conduct demand forecasting by analysing historical data, identifying trends, and providing data-driven recommendations to optimise capacity planning and fleet supply.
5. Propose, implement and assess actions to maximise revenue, combining knowledge of current business performance, market position and demand, resource availability and business channel mix.
6. Provide clear and decisive responses to complex tactical and strategic challenges as they arise.
Key Skills and Attributes Required
1. Proven experience in analytical roles, particularly in forecasting and capacity planning.
2. Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and Google Workspace, including Sheets and Slides.
3. A strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
4. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
5. A confident communicator, comfortable presenting insights to stakeholders.
6. A quick learner, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment with an evolving role over time.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to break down complex datasets into clear, concise insights that drive informed decision-making.
