A leading Engineering consultancy in West Leeds is looking to recruit a CAD Technician with experience in Civil & Structural Engineering as well as some knowledge of Architectural projects. The CAD Technician will benefit from working in a fun, relaxed environment that hosts regular social events, along with a generous salary of up to £40,000 for the right candidate, flexible working hours with core hours of 10-3, and work-from-home options.
The CAD Technician will be working on Structural, Civil, and Architectural projects within the commercial, industrial, and housing development sectors, including substructure.
Responsibilities
* Collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce accurate and high-quality design documentation for a variety of projects.
* Preparing detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on project specifications and design concepts.
* Utilizing CAD software to develop and modify drawings for structural, architectural, or mechanical projects.
* Ensuring design accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
* Reviewing and revising drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope.
* Maintaining organized project files and documentation, ensuring version control and accuracy.
* Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and presentations by providing visual representations of designs.
Minimum Requirements
* HND / HNC or certification in CAD technology or a related discipline.
* Proficiency in CAD software, AutoCAD, and Revit.
* Familiarity with 3D modelling tools.
* Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects.
* Basic understanding of engineering or architectural principles.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing specifications.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project changes.
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
