Principal Ecologist
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Principal Ecologist to join their growing team and contribute to a variety of exciting and impactful projects across the UK. Our ecologists work on a broad range of developments, delivering innovative solutions that benefit biodiversity, clients, and society.

Key Responsibilities:
·Leading nationally significant infrastructure projects, managing timelines and budgets.
·Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders.
·Planning, coordinating, and conducting ecological field surveys, interpreting results using tools such as biodiversity net gain and natural capital assessments.
·Designing and overseeing ecological mitigation strategies.
·Writing and reviewing ecological reports and protected species licence applications.
·Managing client relationships, responding to project inquiries, and contributing to bid proposals.
What We're Looking For:
·Membership (or application in progress) with the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
·A degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
·Strong ecological knowledge, either as a species specialist or generalist.
·Experience with commercial project delivery and budget management.
·FISC Level 4 accreditation (desirable but not essential).
·Natural England/Natural Resources Wales bat survey licence Level 2 (desirable but not essential).
·A valid UK driving licence
