Services Accountant Location: Surrey Contract: Temporary (3-month initial) Rate: £375.00 per day umbrella // £330.08 per day PAYE inclusive // £294.53 PAYE exclusive Start Date: ASAP Hybrid Working – 2 days per week in office Contact: (url removed) Job Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Surrey for a Services Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will be responsible for providing financial advice and support to the Housing, Leisure and Community Support Services for the Authority. Main Responsibilities Overseeing the budget performance, preparation of the final accounts, and financial advice to the Housing, Leisure and Community Support Services teams. Support the development of the Council’s rolling medium term financial strategy as the Council’s financial advisor to those services within the postholder’s responsibilities. Prepare monthly revenue budget monitoring reports for budget managers within the postholder’s areas of responsibility in accordance with approved timescales. Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue and capital monitoring reports for inclusion within the Corporate Monitoring arrangements for presentation to the relevant Committee or Group.
