About the Role:
* Location: Horsham, West Sussex
* Position: Full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
* Salary: £21,020 - £22,000 per annum, paid 52 weeks per year
* Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support to secondary pupils with autism across a range of GCSE subjects
* Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and materials to meet the individual needs of students
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Offer one-on-one and small group support to help students develop key skills, build confidence, and stay motivated
* Support students' social, emotional, and academic development, helping them manage the challenges they face in school
What We’re Looking For:
* Enthusiastic individuals with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs, particularly autism
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
* A proactive and patient approach, understanding the unique needs of pupils with ASC
* Previous experience working with SEN pupils, especially those with autism, is beneficial but not essential
* A commitment to starting as soon as possible and working full-time
