About This Role
Pickwick Academy Trust is looking to recruit a permanent, part-time (0.9 FTE) SENCo based at Ivy Lane School. The role involves inspiring and making a difference in the lives of children.
Ivy Lane School is a two-form entry Primary School in Chippenham, Wiltshire, part of the Pickwick Academy Trust. We aim to equip every child with the skills for success beyond their primary years.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Strategic leadership and development of SEN across the school
* Fulfil the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Responsible for day-to-day operation of SEN policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
* Monitoring the provision and progress of SEN, EAL, AGAT, and looked after children
* Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies
* Participate in senior leadership meetings
* Manage Teaching Assistants to deliver intervention programmes and 1:1 support
* Liaise with parent groups at the school
* Contribute to the wider school life and the school’s core values and ethos
