The Vacancy: Brand Ambassador

Role Overview
Our client, one of the world’s largest credit card providers, partners with Service Innovation Group to fulfil a key field sales and marketing function within their wider merchant engagement program. The client activity is primarily focused on increasing their engagement points across a wide range of businesses across 12 European markets through field visits, with circa 500 staff working across the UK and Europe.
We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Brand Ambassadors (BA’s) to visit retail stores across a designated territory as part of the merchant engagement program. Your focus in the visits will be to promote the key features and benefits of working with our client, ensure that their payment terminal is working correctly, the placement of point of sales materials and activating campaigns designed to support and grow small businesses by increasing customer footfall, frequency of visit and sales.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and earn £27,500 per annum, plus £500 pcm Car Allowance or Company Car.
Role Responsibilities
* Building positive relationships with retailers to help us deliver our clients objectives.
* Effectively communicate with store staff the purpose of your call.
* Sell / Promote the key features and benefits of our clients’ services, manage objections, secure agreement to accept.
* Complete Terminal Tests to ensure the retailer is able to accept payment.
* Ensure all point-of-sale items are effectively displayed to maximise consumer brand awareness.
* Activate seasonal promotional campaigns by securing the support of your Retailers.
* Work to agreed targets, KPI’s set by Service Innovation Group, working to increase performance of both personal and team goals
* Ability to adapt to change and react to short term activity objectives, delivering results positively and proactively
* Attend National team meetings and local field accompaniments as necessary
Experience & Skills
* Experience of working within retail environments or managing a territory across multiple locations is beneficial but not essential.
* Highly effective verbal communicator – a proven track record of building relationships and communicating at multiple levels
* An ability to manage multiple objectives across different projects at the same time.
* Excellent communication and outstanding organisational skills.
* Competent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Databases.
* Able to manage your own time effectively and be a self-starter.
* Ability to prioritise work effectively to meet different business requirements.
* Works well in a team and provides support to others.
* Business development skills and sales experience.
* Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and planning skills & an acute eye for detail
* Proven record of demonstrating initiative & delivering results
Full UK Drivers Licence (Must have a full driving licence. The role has a choice of car allowance, company car or electric car scheme)
