A strong interest in working with prisoners is essential.
HMP Peterborough is a local Category B prison. It is England's only dual purpose-built prison for men and women, including a mother and baby unit, who are kept separate at all times. The prison is located in the city of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, and accommodates up to 360 female and 868 adult male prisoners.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure the provision of research-based high-quality care to patients in HMP Peterborough in accordance with local and national policies.
The post holder will undertake various duties within HMP Peterborough, including acting as a responder to emergencies, screening patients in reception and on the wings, triaging patients, and holding nurse-led clinics.
The post holder will demonstrate leadership qualities and set an example to junior staff through their own behaviour and attitude at all times.
The post holder will oversee the provision of day-to-day healthcare services in the absence of the clinical lead.
The post holder will participate in audits, research, and project work as requested.
The post holder will be responsible for supervising and supporting junior staff/students and support their development and education.
The post holder will develop and support the concept of change, contributing ideas whilst demonstrating an awareness of prison issues.
