IF: Milton Keynes International Festival has a number of projects planned for 2025 which provide opportunities for communities across Milton Keynes to participate, co-create and present work.
We are looking for a fantastically well organised individual to support work with our artists to help shape the activity programmes, scheduling workshop sessions with schools, colleges, community groups and the wider public. Activity will take place throughout the Spring and Summer culminating in the Festival which runs from 18 – 27 July 2025.
KEY TASKS
Planning and Development
1. Work with The Festival Team and lead artist(s) to develop and work within a detailed project delivery plan and timetable.
2. Identify and secure relevant schools, colleges, and community groups to take part in the projects.
3. Be the central point of contact for the creative projects, providing support and communication with all participants and groups.
4. Recruit, contract and support the artists’ support team including locally based artists and volunteers as required.
5. Plan, order and manage the Technical Resources needed for the participation programme in consultation with the Festival Head of Production & Safety and/or their representatives.
6. Devise and manage the engagement schedule/logistics for participants in line with the artist’s requirements.
7. Manage relevant budgets relating to activities within The Festival financial procedures.
8. Support the evaluation and documentation of the projects.
Communication
1. Attend project meetings.
2. Work with The Festival communications team to develop and disseminate opportunities through social media and other channels.
3. Target specific groups and sectors for involvement in the project to ensure diversity of participation.
4. Disseminate information and updates to participants and artist support team members.
5. Input into the collection resource pack/call out.
6. Disseminate the resource pack/call out for participation.
7. Provide information as required by the Festival Team and Lead Artists.
Health & Safety
1. Work closely with The Festival’s Head of Production & Safety or their representatives so that they can produce an over-arching Risk Assessment and specific procedures for the engagement activities.
2. Ensure all participation activities are undertaken with a view to ensuring the safety of participants, staff and audience/onlookers and with any specific guidance in relation to the location or legislation/guidance.
