About the opportunity
They are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader (Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation) who will be responsible for the execution of all front line electrical, control system and instrumentation maintenance activities across all of the process, building and site systems. This will be done in accordance with the operational requirements of the facility in order to drive compliance and ensure high levels of operational availability of the facility. You will also be responsible for the development and management of a small team of front line maintenance technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
* All works are executed in accordance with a safe system of work, ensuring the protection of people, plant, and the environment at the core of every activity.
* Provide visible leadership in all activities and ensure that all personnel carrying out maintenance activities within the facility are appropriately trained and competent to operate within the safe system of work.
* Maintenance of the facility using best industry practices in compliance with all relevant environmental, legal, license, and internal norms.
* Leading, developing, and motivating the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians to deliver first-class maintenance services across the facility.
* Participate in the recruitment, planning, and management of maintenance team personnel in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
* Development of apprentices and succession planning within the team in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
* Conduct annual assessment reviews of employees and prepare reports for the Maintenance Manager.
* Proactive delivery of maintenance services to the facility, coordinating and executing all preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
* Coordination and execution of planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
* Coordination and control of external maintenance support services.
* Coordination of maintenance activities within the facility with the Production Team to maximise operational availability and efficiency.
* Coordination and facilitation of external agencies engaged in facility compliance monitoring.
* Identification of operational improvement projects that simplify, standardise, or improve the operability, maintainability, and/or compliance of the facility.
* Ensure projects are executed to a high standard and any as-built modifications are documented.
* Ensure that any system and/or procedural changes flowing from the as-built changes are identified for completion as part of the project closeout.
* Delivery of services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment where maintenance activities are executed in accordance with environmental objectives and the maintenance working environment is a safe, healthy, and energising place to deliver exceptional service.
* Attention to detail and doing things right, first time, every time.
* Be aware of the impact of maintenance activities and the way they are executed on the operational budget for the facility.
* Always be on the lookout for alternative methods of working that improve safety, quality, and/or efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* HNC/HND with significant experience gained in maintenance.
* Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Power Generation and Industrial Process).
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, 2 of which should have incorporated leading small workgroups.
* Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLCs would be an advantage.
* Familiarity with High Voltage switching and control concepts would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
* Knowledge and experience of complex integrated plant and equipment commonly found within continuous process industries such as power generation, cement industry, and petrochemicals.
* Specific Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment experience is a distinct advantage.
