Employment Engagement & Placement Officer Full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and self-motivated person to join our Youth Contract teams as a Employment Engagement & Placement Officer. We are looking for a motivated and engaging person to work with young people on our 16–24-year-old provision to seek work placements for them with supportive employers. You will come with a background in sales, recruitment or marketing and be used to working to clear targets and KPIS. You will be educated or be prepared to undertake a Careers and Advice qualification to support our young people with their work placement options. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to providing an outstanding learner experience along with the ability to use tact and initiative. You will be joining a dynamic team working in Gloucester to support our Careers and Employability programme. You will have an active caseload of learners to match and place within work experience alongside their Study Programme but full training will be provided to support learners to engage with the employment placements you identify and match for them. The ideal candidate will have Qualifications: Hold a minimum of Level 2 IAG or prepared to work towards Hold Level 2 or equivalent in maths and English Full driving licence and own car Experience and Skills: Essential Negotiation and influencing skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ideally hold a track record in a recruitment, sales or targeted role. Ability to work on own initiative and be a team player to Experience of working or volunteering with young people and/or vulnerable adults would be desirable. Good levels of maths and English. Ability to work to KPI’s and manage caseloads. A good level of IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages. Strong coaching and problem-solving skills. A flexible and solution-focused approach to completing tasks. Empathy with Young People and/or Vulnerable Adults. Ability to display emotional resilience when faced with challenging behaviours.
