This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and dynamic team who are actively involved in developing innovative Family Hub provision across the City.
We are seeking two creative and ambitious Universal Services Practitioners who will provide a supporting role in meeting the Statutory Duties of the Childcare Act 2006 and with a specific focus around The Family Hub offer. You will actively engage and support families to access appropriate services ensuring we are narrowing the gap in achievement for all sectors of the community.
One post will provide general support to families and children, whilst the second post will cover Parental and Infant Wellbeing offering specific groups to support parents with their own mental health and their child’s including baby massage, guided walks and social support groups using sensory techniques. All relevant training will be given.
You will play a key role, within a strong team in achieving the overarching aim of improving outcomes for all children, mainly 0-4 years, by providing a specific focus on those children and families living in the most disadvantaged areas.
You will promote and facilitate stimulating activities for groups and families in various Family Hubs across the City. You will promote key health and educational messages, ensuring services are suited to community needs.
You will proactively promote personal independence and the self-help agenda, help communities to have more control over decisions that affect them and promote equality in service provision.
These posts are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
