Amazon is seeking a Senior commercial leader to grow the Prime Video Channels business in Europe. This individual will be responsible for helping to define and, in turn, execute the expansion strategy for Prime Video Channels in Europe.
In addition to strong negotiation skills and experience in the European market, this person will be a critical thinker with attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, and calmness under pressure. We are looking for someone who has experience working with local and international content owners, negotiating complex agreements, developing new business models, and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and execute the selection strategy for Prime Video Channels in expansion locales
2. Build a plan to have the most compelling content for Amazon customers
3. Develop and document acquisition plans, financial metrics, and goals for senior management
4. Help studios, TV broadcasters, and content owners/aggregators to conceptualize new subscription services that Amazon customers will love
5. Use customer behavior, usage, and consumption data to inform decision-making
6. Build and manage relationships with senior-level leaders at content providers
7. Lead relationships with studios, channel groups, and more niche video media organizations
8. Manage all aspects of content negotiations regarding content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical requirements
9. Work with in-house and external legal counsels
10. Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Amazon Prime Video
11. Be willing to travel across Europe
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
2. Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
3. Experience developing, leading, negotiating, and executing corporate and/or business transactions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
2. Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
3. Fluency in Turkish or Polish
4. Previous experience in Entertainment
