This position is an initial 6 month contract,
The Role
To support production by ensuring routine machine maintenance, general cleanliness and tidiness of cell is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Coolant Management: check and maintain coolant concentrations, carry out fungal and bacterial tests, check and maintain oil levels and other additives, maintain computerised records of all and ensure adequate stock levels.
Loading and unloading of vehicles using a range of lifting equipment
Moving equipment and fixtures as necessary in accordance with all applicable legislation and industry best practice.
Separation, movement and storage of factory waste (including hazardous waste) for collection by specialist waste disposal firms and completion of relevant records.
Cleaning, greasing, lubricating, swarfing and maintaining all machines – including the disconnection / reconnection of simple services, and utilisation of other methods as required for specialist equipment such as coolant magnets, etc.
Recycling of all factory materials including metals, wood, cardboard, coolants and oils in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Management System and other applicable statutory legislation.
Assist Maintenance Technicians with general duties.
Cleaning tanks & associated equipment in Surface preparation & Paint shops. Handling and the safe storage and disposal of acids and alkalis after training.
Other duties as required compatible with this job and the employee’s individual skills at the direction of the supervisor/manager.

NVQ2 WAMITAB (Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board) (Preferred)
Forklift Truck Operators License (Preferred)
Safe Jacking / Transplant of Plant & Machines (Preferred)
Asbestos Awareness (Preferred)
Fire Safety & Use of Extinguishers (Preferred)
Scissor Lift Operator (Preferred)
Coolant Management (Preferred)
Legionella Awareness (Preferred)
Understanding the control and handling of potential pollutants

Use of Counterbalance Forklift Truck and Reach Truck, Pedi Fork & Side Loader
This will be shift rotation work;
7:30am till 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am till 12:30pm Friday (for 4 weeks)
12:30pm till 9:00pm Monday to Thursday, 12:30pm - 5:30pm Friday (for 4 weeks)
9:00pm - 7:00am Monday to Wednesday, 9:00pm – 6:00am Thursday (for 4 weeks)
