HR Officer Maternity Cover - 9 MONTHS
Our client based in Colchester, a LEXCEL accredited, Legal 500 recommended practice with 17 Legal 500 recommended Lawyers, has an opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join their expanding HR Team to cover a 9-month maternity leave.
Duties will include:
* Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on various HR matters, including:
Recruitment, performance management, employee relations, policies, and procedures.
* Coordinating recruitment activities, including preparing job postings, scheduling and conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process.
* Managing the employee onboarding process, including preparing documentation, arranging induction schedules, and conducting reference and DBS checks.
* Coordinating the performance management process, including tracking performance evaluations and facilitating professional development activities.
* Maintaining employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
* Supporting the HR and Office Manager with office facilities management when required, in collaboration with the Facilities Coordinator.
* Providing administrative support to the HR and Office Manager as needed and collaborating with partners, department heads, and employees to address HR and facility needs.
The candidate:
* Minimum CIPD Level 3 Qualified.
* Proven experience as an HR Officer, administrator, or other HR position.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, and procedures.
* Experience dealing with change management.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and daily activities.
* Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
* Experience working within a law firm is desirable but not essential.
