As a Fire Safety Instructor within the Fire Service College (FSC) Protection & Prevention (Fire Safety) Delivery Team you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality training experience to the FSC customers and delegates. Job title: Fire Safety Instructor Job Description: What you'll be doing: Provide training/instruction in Fire Safety and Risk - these courses will be delivered both virtually/digitally and face to face, travel may be required Assessing and marking delegate's work Ensuring appropriate teaching resources are in place to address customer needs Making sure the learning environments and resources are fit for purpose to enable all learning outcomes to be achieved Supporting with ongoing development of course content What we're looking for: You must be competent in Fire Safety and/or Building Regs and/or Quality Assurance and be passionate about the fire safety sector. Experience of technical fire safety, ADB, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 9251, fire risk assessment, auditing and enforcement, fire protection, or fire engineering in all environments, from domestic, commercial and industrial premises. Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety (or equivalent) or Fire Risk Assessment (Medium/High-risk premises) A1 Assessors / RQF / CAVA / TAQA and Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) (or PTLLS) Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and Fire Investigation (Level 5 or Degree) would be an advantage. Be competent in the use of digital resources such as Microsoft Office products.
