SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm and continue your accountancy career. This is a full-time role based in one of our accounts teams. The varied nature of our clients will mean that you will be constantly challenged and continually gaining valuable experience.
Main job tasks and responsibilities
* Planning, preparing and reviewing accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT for a variety of clients.
* Preparing personal tax returns and corporation tax returns.
* Assisting clients with their accounting software, including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
* Ensuring work is being undertaken in the most efficient manner and being up to date with the most recent software developments and working methods.
* Providing ad hoc support to the line manager as work arises.
* Undertaking administration for the line manager, including team billing.
* Setting budgets for staff and assisting staff with accounts completion.
* Training and mentoring trainees within the team.
* Having excellent client relationship skills and handling client queries in a positive and client-focused manner.
