The Grant Thornton Audit and Assurance team has a track record of operating at the highest levels for clients in a broad range of industry sectors and ranging in size from entrepreneurial start-ups to multi-national groups. Our experienced team of professionals has developed an efficient approach that delivers high-quality audits and comprehensive value-added advice, with transparency and collaboration throughout.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our expanding audit team. This position represents an excellent opportunity for career growth and will suit an ambitious, motivated person who is willing and interested in getting involved in all aspects of the position.
Main responsibilities:
* Preparation of accounts and financial statements.
* Acting as a technical resource for Audit and Assurance covering a range of accounting standards to include IFRS and UK GAAP, including training and the production of internal and external technical information.
* Assist in maintaining and developing key client relationships.
* Audit of companies across a variety of business sectors.
* Design and implementation of audit plans.
* Ensure completion of assignments within appropriate budget and timeframe.
* Manage a team of trainees while on assignment.
* Responsible for development and mentoring of trainees and staff.
Skills and attributes:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or similar qualification).
* Strong technical knowledge.
* Strong experience in audit engagements.
* Experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients.
* Capable of working on your own initiative.
* Ambitious and wanting to pursue a career in practice.
* Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
