Purpose of Role
This is an exciting role to deliver Projects for the MOD across a wide-ranging Property Portfolio, including Infrastructure Projects, Plant Asset renewal, HVAC, Chillers, Lifts, Electrical Switch Gear, Life Safety Systems, CCTV and BMS, Hanger upgrades, MEP, ULEV, Demolition, Design and Build, Cut & Carve, Modular Build, Hanger, Runway and Listed Building Projects as well as many other facilities management projects into the UK Defence Sector.
Job Description
As part of the Project Management Team, you will work on a wide range of new projects within the construction and M&E sectors. You will also be working on multiple projects at any one time dependent upon the scale, complexity and duration of the projects.
Responsibilities
In this highly varied and interesting role, whilst being supported by the Project Management Senior Team, you will take the lead for the projects assigned to you from RIBA 0 to 6 and/or RIBA 4 to 6 and be responsible for the formal handover to both the MOD, DIO and the Facilities Site Maintenance Teams for Building construction and listed Building Works.
You will be supported by both Commercial and Project PMO, reporting into the Project Sector Lead and Regional Senior Project Manager(s). You will be responsible for the planning, management, coordination, and financial control of projects, ensuring the appropriate governance is applied.
Your role is to ensure the project programme lifecycle is maintained at all stages and completed on time, to budget and that agreed objectives, commercial governance maintained and business KPI’s are achieved.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* Hold a CSCS Card or ability to gain a card.
* Hold Valid SMSTS.
* Health and Safety understanding with the ability to gain either IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
* First Aid.
* CITB Temporary Works (Preferable) – Training will be given.
* Principle Designer – Training will be given.
* Exceptional organisational skills as you will be managing multiple construction and Mechanical – Electrical projects.
* A can-do attitude and be prepared to support the wider delivery team.
* Must have an understanding of the RIBA phases.
Minimum Security Base line requirement to be BPSS with the move to be able to obtain full SC clearance following probation period.
