What will you be doing?
As a Structural Engineer you will join a team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Receive, review, and validate the consistency of input data from other disciplines within the scope of responsibility for the designated scope for modular structures.
* Oversee and coordinate single work packages to progress the design of wider systems.
* Conduct technical reviews of civil engineering design notes, models, and drawings, ensuring consistency and compliance.
* Manage feedback from external entities (e.g., client organizations and suppliers) and align final content with all stakeholders.
* Support design configuration management by preparing design decisions, participating in design change committees.
* Act as the primary interface with civil designers, providing timely and accurate inputs to support project progress.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or a field related to pressured equipment.
* Strong understanding of Steel structural design principles for large infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency in industry-standard software tools: 3D Modelling tools, FEA or static analysis tools.
* Hand-calculations for structural analysis, vibration analysis and basics of FEA.
* Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASME, EUROCODES, etc.).
