Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team supporting adults withco-occurring mental health challenges and alcohol dependency.
You will develop customer-led support using person-centered and psychologically informed approaches, providing information, advice and hands-on support to individuals who are actively drinking and experiencing mental health difficulties. Your work will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and dynamic service in accordance with BCHA’s policies, procedures, vision, values, and strategic objectives.
This role operates on a 7-day rotating shift pattern. You’ll work within the BCHA Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework to enable individuals to make lasting changes and move toward independent living.
Your role will include:
* Initiating meaningful engagement to help individuals achieve their personal recovery goals
* Supporting those with dual diagnosis to reduce barriers to treatment, care, and ongoing support
* Collaborating with a team to ensure consistent, high-quality support
* Building and extending partnerships with external mental health and addiction support services
* Managing emergency situations with support from colleagues and on-call managers
* Using creative and proactive approaches to meet each person’s unique needs
* Delivering innovative and engaging learning activities to support personal development
* Contributing to the general upkeep and cleanliness of the Service
