Job Title: Matron - Emergency Department Division - Medicine & Emergency Care Care Group: Urgent and Emergency Care Band: 8a Salary: £53,755 - £60,504 per annum/pro rata Permanent We are recruiting for a Matron for the Emergency Department who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff. This role will provide an exciting professional development opportunity for a highly motivated nurse to gain insight into the matron role and provide you with the ability to influence nursing practice as a key member of the senior emergency team. The right person for this role is a senior nurse aspiring to increasingly influence emergency care delivery whilst being able to undertake a clinical and operational role. The post holder will continue to build a robust response to patient needs including incident and complaint management. You will lead a team of nurses and work in close collaboration with the department’s existing clinical matrons on a 24/7 rota. There is an intensive support and training program planned for the right candidate to facilitate the transition into this role.
