About our exciting opportunity
* Maintain FTTP infrastructure, including fibre optic cables and related equipment.
* Ensure high-speed internet delivery to customer premises.
* Support installation teams with signal testing, splicing, and pre-terminated connections for both overhead (OH) and underground (UG) connections.
* Inspect and repair network equipment on telegraph poles, including fibre splicing.
* Safely maintain, install, and upgrade equipment on communication towers.
* Conduct fault-finding using OTDR and light reading tools.
* Manage and optimise backbone network infrastructure. Complete network installations and wireless connections as needed.
* Collaborate with Technical Support and Network Operations to resolve network issues.
* Be flexible to take on additional duties as required.
* Update and maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and equipment manuals.
* Work with installation teams to ensure smooth customer connections, including signal testing and splicing.
* Inspect and maintain network cabinets for cleanliness and functionality.
* Stay updated on new networking technologies and assist with network upgrades.
* Troubleshoot and service customer installations as needed.
* Safely operate vehicles and MEWPs, performing routine checks for reliability.
* Be prepared to work in adverse weather or during off-hours, following prioritization directives.
* Participate in on-call rotation to handle network incidents outside regular hours.
* Undertake additional tasks as requested, ensuring safety and control.
Your skills and experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* PIA regulations knowledge.
* Risk assessment completion.
* Diagnostic experience with CPE/ONT/NTE with both
Wireless, Mobile and FTTP.
