Position Summary
To safely receive and dispatch goods in/out, accurately recording and storing raw materials, stock, and finished goods within the site.
Essential Functions
1. To work in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that work instructions and procedures are followed, and equipment is operated correctly.
2. Manage the issue and return of all raw materials to and from the factory.
3. Receive and check goods have been delivered correctly as per the delivery schedule, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures are followed.
4. Manage and coordinate the storage, stacking, and distribution of all incoming materials and finished goods in accordance with company procedure.
5. To process and complete documentation and system transactions to ensure control and accuracy of all materials within the warehouse operation.
6. To participate in inventory cycle counting and ensure all variances are investigated, highlighted and adjusted to maintain stock accuracy.
7. Maintain standards in the warehouse and yard for inventory accuracy, quality and service.
Additional Responsibilities
1. To work as a member of a team helping to implement and improve all Company working practices; Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedure and standards.
2. To represent the Company/ Department in an appropriate manner at all times when dealing with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
3. To adopt best working practices for all tasks/ duties undertaken.
Education
1. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
2. Relevant qualification in warehousing would be an advantage.
Experience
1. Previous Warehouse/ Distribution experience within a Manufacturing environment.
2. Experience in using Warehousing Control Systems.
Skills
1. Counterbalance and Reach Truck Licences preferred.
2. IT literate, experience of working with Materials Management Systems and Microsoft Office (Excel).
3. Able to cope with high volumes and fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to prioritise, multitask whilst retaining attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Self-motivated and a flexible approach to workload and tasks.

This role requires the job holder to work shifts.
1. 12 hours per shift - Dayshift - 7am - 7pm/ Nightshift - 7pm - 7am.
2. 3 week rotating shift basis as follows:
Week 1 - Monday and Tuesday Dayshift/ Thursday and Friday Nightshift.
Week 2 - Wednesday - Friday Dayshift.
Week 3 - Monday - Wednesday Nightshift.
Salary:
£24,490 + £4,898 shift allowance per annum.
