Job summary Applications are invited to apply for a Consultant Cardiologist with an interest in cardiac devices at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a post to replace a Consultant. It is for a whole-time consultant in cardiology with a specialist interest in Pacing and Devices. It is a joint post with OUH. The post holder will contribute to all aspects of the cardiology service at MKUH and facilitate the urgent transfer of patients in need of super-speciality treatment to other hospitals. The responsibilities include diagnosis, treatment and aftercare of cardiology patients presenting either as emergencies or referred on an elective basis. Working with the existing Cardiologists, the post holder will be responsible for providing both inpatient (including cardiology in-reach) and outpatient services for MKUH, for which the Trusts will provide the necessary support. The appointee will be expected to complement the existing expertise of their physician colleagues including the Cardiologists.
