I am currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join my client with sites based in Berkshire.

The Project Engineer has the responsibility for the support and delivery of Automation, refurbishment and equipment upgrade projects, to schedule, specification and within budget to support growth, reduce operating cost and improve efficiency for 24/7 high speed manufacturing sites both food and consumer healthcare products.
What will you be doing?....
You will be working on: manufacturing, installations, refurbs - a mixture of equipment replacement/upgrades.
Some equipment you may encounter is - batch mixers and filling lines as well as manufacturing equipment such as packaging machines, palletisers, stretch wrappers etc
About you….
An Engineering qualification, Degree level
Engineering and project experience in manufacturing, food or pharmaceutical
2-3 years experience needed of manufacturing projects, a blend of disciplines such as exposure to automation as well as mechanical and electrical. Project management process aware. Experience in aspects of safety such as permit to work issuing in a variety of installation types.
Experience of projects in manufacturing, food or FMCG
Good technical ability (or experience), ideally relating to automation
The ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion
Aptitude to debate detail both technical and commercial detail with vendors, and ensure compliance to Engineering standards.
Ability to monitor, report and communicate progress (or barriers to progress) with variety of stakeholders, both in verbal and written form.
