Role Overview:
As a Healthcare Assistant in our Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from brain injuries. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and clinical psychologists, to provide support in a therapeutic environment. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, supporting rehabilitation goals, and ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care and support to patients in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit.
* Assist with daily activities, including dressing, bathing, and feeding, as needed.
* Help patients engage in their rehabilitation programs, following care plans set by the clinical team.
* Monitor and record patients' physical and emotional progress, alerting nursing staff to any changes in condition.
* Support patients with mobility and assist in transferring or repositioning them.
* Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a compassionate and caring environment.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for both patients and staff.
* Assist in the implementation of therapy and rehabilitation activities under the supervision of qualified professionals.
