Administrative Officer JOB REF XS 8.4 GRADE 4 16 HOURS PER WEEK 8:15 - 12:15 / 4 days Damers School is a large, thriving, inclusive, ECO school where all pupils have a chance to learn well. An opportunity has arisen for a new Administrative Officer with general administrative duties in our busy school office. The right person will provide efficient and confidential support to staff, assisting parents arriving at school and dealing with day-to-day office activities. They will join our team and play a critical role in identifying and addressing barriers to student attendance, assisting with intervention strategies and working collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff to promote regular school attendance for all students. The successful candidate will be a good team player and want the very best for all our students. Previous experience of working in a busy school environment is highly desirable or being able to demonstrate relevant transferable skills and abilities from other business areas. The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service. Keeping Children Safe in Education The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
