Are you a talented MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician seeking an exciting new opportunity? At Steer Automotive Group, we’re known for delivering exceptional automotive repair services. We’re expanding and looking for a skilled MET Technician to join our Newcastle West bodyshop.
About the Role
As an MET Technician, you’ll play a key role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, working on a variety of models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. Your expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components will ensure our customers receive the highest standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
* Mechanical & Electrical Repairs: Repair and replace mechanical, electrical, and trim components, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.
* Vehicle Preparation: Safely dismantle vehicles for panel repairs and reassemble them to manufacturer standards.
* Diagnostics: Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics to determine repair needs.
* Parts Management: Order and manage replacement parts efficiently.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs meet safety and manufacturer specifications.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure seamless repair progress.
About You
You’re an experienced and detail-oriented MET Technician with a passion for quality work and a commitment to safety. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values excellence and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience as an MET Technician, including knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicles.
* Proficiency in ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, and diagnostics.

* Ability to manage workloads effectively under deadlines.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
