The difference you will make as a Retirement Living Assistant
This role is based across 3 schemes in Liverpool:
1. Alexandra Court on Princess Avenue, L8
2. St. Anne's in Old Swan, L13
3. Derwent Road West in Old Swan, L13
You will travel to each scheme depending on the business needs each week.
Customers living at the schemes are aged 55 and over and have diverse backgrounds.
You will act as an initial point of contact both on the phone and in the reception area, you will always ensure a professional and supportive approach is maintained, whilst working as part of a team to provide ‘best practice’. You will assist in the day-to-day delivery of a comprehensive housing management service for Retirement Living, including working with tenancy agreements, ensuring all records and files are maintained and held securely to maintain confidentiality.

6. Previous experience of working with vulnerable and/or older people

8. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Role Profile
14. Act as an initial point of reference on the phone or in a reception area as required
15. Assist in the provision of comprehensive housing management including working with tenancy agreements
16. Carry out day to day office administration functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained and held securely, and that the confidentiality of information is upheld
17. Report repairs and maintenance needs on behalf of the customer following agreed procedures
18. Assist in the monitoring and delivery of service contracts at the scheme including lifts, heating, fire equipment, gardening etc
19. Work in line with, monitor and report any discrepancies in health and safety standards within schemes
20. To ensure that the companies Health and Safety policy is fully implemented at the scheme, ensuring customers are aware of the provision of security at the scheme at all times
21. Promote and encourage a high level of customer involvement, consultation and communication
22. To monitor standards of maintenance and cleanliness by conducting regular site inspections
23. To have the ability to use appropriate IT systems and maintain professional and timely records
24. To adhere to agreed Riverside’s safeguarding policies and procedures in every aspect of service delivery
25. Monitoring and meeting relevant health and safety standards in properties
26. Monitoring the delivery of reactive repairs across the properties within the cluster ensuring they are of a high standard and cost effective
27. Working with colleagues to ensure key performance indicators (. voids and arrears) are being met
28. To travel, within a reasonable distance, to provide cover to other schemes as required
29. To ensure compliance with Riversides’ Equality and Diversity policy in respect of employment and service delivery
30. To understand your role in the organisation and to be accountable for your contribution to service delivery within Retirement Living and the organisation
31. To understand how your job contributes to the overall purpose of the organisation and be accountable for delivering it in the most efficient way
32. Undertake personal development and training as necessary to keep up to date with regulatory changes in safeguarding and in the fields of housing, care and support
33. Any other relevant duties as required by the designated manager
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
34. Experience working in a Customer Focused environment

36. Experience of working with vulnerable and older people
37. Flexible and responsive attitude
38. To demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support; and complete relevant IT training where required.
