Job summary The Sterile Services Departments reprocess reusable surgical devices for internal theatre, wards, and outpatient clinics, we also provide a service to external GP Surgeries and Health Centre's. The department is operational seven days a week and the work we carry out is diverse, interesting and varied. We are a department where there is a lot to learn but we deliver a fascinating essential service with opportunities to develop and progress. We work together as a team to ensure the service provision is delivered on time with a commitment to putting the patients procedures and wellbeing at the centre of what we do. For our department at CGH we are looking for 1x full time Technician for the 4pm to midnight shift and another fulltime post is available for the 6am to 2pm shift - both posts are Monday to Friday. For the sister site at GRH we are looking for 2x full time Technicians for our split shift which is working 8am to 4pm for 3 day and two evening shifts from 1pm to 9pm, you will also be required to work one weekend in four. At GRH there is an additional vacancy for a full time Technician to join the night team, hours of Sunday to Thursday morning working 9pm to 5am. The cleaning, inspection, assembling, packing, sealing and barcode-labelling of clinical packs, surgical instrument trays and associated equipment according to written and/or verbal work instructions.
