We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our transport team at our manufacturing site in Runcorn, Cheshire. As the Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for managing all transport related activities at our site, in coordination with our warehouse team and wider transport network.
What will you be doing as a Transport Administrator:
1. Completing a daily analysis on the current status of the tallboy and Runcorn urban trailer fleet
2. Completing all European documentation for loads departing from our site
3. Ensuring additional pallet collections are planned onto the primary transport fleet as required
4. Managing on site VOR's and MOT’s and liaising with the onsite third-party engineer to ensure efficient resolution to any problems
5. Ensuring any burst loads are dealt with appropriately, in a timely and most economical way possible
6. Coordinating sub-contractor collections through preparing paperwork and liaising with our other transport sites
7. Working with the pallet yard teams to ensure all loading requests are carried out and completing spot checks on trailers to ensure they are legally and safety compliant
Shift Pattern:
1. 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required to meet the demands of the day-to-day requirements
What do I need to qualify for the Transport Administrator:
1. Experience working in a transport operation (desirable)
2. Experience using transport and warehouse execution systems (TMS, Microlise, SAP)
3. Confident communication and excellent interpersonal skills
4. Strong organisational and time management abilities
5. Customer focus with great problem-solving skills
6. Collaborative working and a solution-focused outlook
