Major Recruitment are currently seeking a quality controller for our client based in the heart of Huddersfield.
The overall purpose of the position is to ensure any customer and internal complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with the Company's quality standards and procedures.
Duties include:
* Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries
* Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues
* Record and follow rework job cards
* Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate to the root cause of the problem
* Liaise with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors
* Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions, and customers' specifications
* Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection
* Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required
* Complete customer's non-conformance reports, when required
* Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager/Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be taken
* Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality Policy
* Discuss the inspection results with the SHEQ Manager/Technical Director
* Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System
* Computer literacy is essential
* Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns
* Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage
