Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a creative and compassionate approach to learning? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Burnley.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support students with additional needs, helping them engage with learning through play-based activities, art therapy, and tailored communication support.
2. Work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to create an inclusive learning environment.
3. Assist with daily classroom activities, ensuring that each child receives the encouragement and support they need.
4. Use creative approaches to help children develop their confidence, communication, and social skills.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting (but not essential).
2. Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
3. Can use creative strategies to help children learn in a fun and engaging way.
4. Works well as part of a team and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
