An outstanding Primary Special School in Bristol is currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to build their expertise in Special Educational Needs, including Autism, Global Developmental Delay, and other cognitive disorders or learning disabilities. A graduate with a 2:2 degree or higher is preferred, and some prior experience working with children with SEN is beneficial. In this role, you will be supporting pupils 1:1, including those with Special Needs and challenging behavior. The role will involve working with children who may have mental health challenges, display challenging behavior, and have learning disabilities such as Autism.
The school is conveniently located in Bristol, with excellent public transport links and on-site parking available.
We are seeking a confident, compassionate, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive impact on children's education. Ideally, the successful candidate will have strong behavior management skills, and training in restraint techniques is desirable.
