To work on a variety of installations (Thermoking and Frigoblock) in the workshop facility and on customer sites, adhering to Internal Health and Safety policies and safe working practices. To liaise with the co-ordinator(s)/Admin ensuring all installation information is fully handed over for job creation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Carry out installations to the highest quality and in accordance with Thermo King guidelines.
2. Ensure daily communication with the co-ordinator(s) so they are aware of all work in progress (WIP) on site(s).
3. Maintain awareness of ISO9002 standards and health and safety considerations at all times. Ensure the quality of the build is high and review any failures that may arise.
4. Review development requests from customers, evaluate feasibility, or find alternative solutions with the Engineering Manager.
5. Ensure all OEM type approvals and instructions are adhered to.
6. Identify and evaluate parts needed for jobs, ensuring all necessary parts and ancillaries are arranged prior to commencing work.
7. Communicate potential problems or concerns to Co-Ordinator(s) and/or Engineering Manager when working on various sites.
8. Coordinate with Installation Administrator(s) before starting and upon completing workloads at locations or workshops.
9. Maintain a professional and smart appearance, especially when customer-facing.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C’s or above.
Experience:
* Good working knowledge of the installation process.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in vehicle/self-powered fridge installation or a similar area.
* Proven track record of delivering quality.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels.
* Ability to plan and prioritize your own work and that of others.
ADDITIONAL LOCAL NEEDS
* Must hold a valid full UK driving license.
* Flexibility to work away from home regularly.
